City Encounters / begegne deiner Stadt
Salzburger Chroniken - eine Anthologie 2025 / Community Building
"City Encounters - begegne deiner Stadt" is a series of nine artistic projects by various Salzburg-based artists, spread across July, August & September 2025, taking place in public spaces of Salzburg City.
As a part of this new cultural initiative from the Stadt Salzburg, INFLUX will be fulfilling one of its main missions of connecting art with its audiences, by not only holding the helms of organisation for this entire series, but also through our own artistic project entitled "Salzburger Chroniken - eine Anthologie."
You can find information such as dates, venues, etc. on all the nine projects here.
Salzburger Chroniken - eine Anthologie
Story-telling has been a universal tool of connection between humans since the beginning of time. Through stories, we share our histories, mythologies, spirituality, love & care for one another. Story-time is a time of softness, a disarming time, a time to listen deeply, to imagine together.
The city of Salzburg harbors a universe of stories. In “Salzburger Chroniken - eine Anthologie” we have carefully selected a few of these stories to share with the city of Salzburg. With this project we want to create time and space for stories to be told in different forms - music, dance, oral and written stories, pictures, games and last but not least food.
On an afternoon full of different cultural practices that are seamlessly interwoven, we want to invite the people of Salzburg to the Itzlinger Gemeinschaftsgarten, where they can embark on a journey through time and space. The shared stories will reveal the individual and collective worlds of the many Salzburgers who come from all parts of the world.
One of the main missions of INFLUX is to connect artists with artists, non-artists, audiences and organisations, in order to facilitate exchange and make room for newer artistic expressions. As a part of this mission, we are happy to support this experiment of artistic movement within the city of Salzburg.
