Artists offer their time in reflection and for paying attention. In the fast world that we live in today, artists work at slowing down and at observing the beauty of things. They dare to turn inward when the world outside entices us with a million stimuli. They work at listening deeply; seeing with clear eyes. This is the value artists generate from their practice.
The idea is to make this value relevant to a wider population, by translating it into our daily lives.
INFLUX – Netzwerk für Tanz, Theater und Performance is a coming together of artists of different disciplines, non-artists, and audiences, with an intention to build a strong sense of connectedness between the three elements.
We at INFLUX firmly believe that this can be made possible through different disciplines meeting, exploring, understanding, and drawing value from one another.
The intention is to achieve this inter-connectedness through various forms and formats such as, performances, research labs, workshops aimed at artists & non-artists, artistic projects with children and young adults, documentation of artistic & research processes, and collaborations between various disciplines.
Through INFLUX, we are dedicated to creating bridges within sociological and professional divisions such as arts, science, education, activism, politics and so on.
Based in the city of Salzburg but made of artists from all over the world, INFLUX strives at creating an artist community based on trust, generosity, and solidarity.
The core of INFLUX network was founded as a non-profit association consisting of interdisciplinary artists in the year 2017.
